1920s Art Deco Swirl Amber Bakelite Faturan Oval Bead Necklace 87 gms 25"

Description

Here is a fantastic, true vintage necklace dating to the 1920s/30s. Original art deco period piece.
A graduated and heavy necklace, it measures 25". Every bead tests as Bakelite (using Simichrome). There are a total of 35 beads that have a beautiful warm brown glow with a swirling effect and have the characteristic Bakelite "clack." The necklace has the old style barrel clasp with a screw component.
