FritzGuard is a safe and effective pH buffered water conditioner that neutralizes toxic chlorine, chloramine, and heavy metals commonly found in tap water. This patented formula employs Aloe Vera, vitamin E, and provides necessary electrolytes, which promote healing while reducing stress. FritzGuard enhances biofiltration by producing a slime coat over the filter media, similar to that naturally secreted by the mucous glands of fish. This slime coat, also found coating your fish, aids in the attachment of beneficial bacteria, like those found in FritzZyme biological products (Sold separately). In fish, the slime coat is a natural defense system, protecting from disease while aiding in osmoregulation and reducing stress caused by sudden environmental changes.
Use:
For best results, add FritzGuard to tap water before adding water to aquarium
If using in marine environment, turn protein skimmers off for dosing. Skimmers can be powered on 6 (six) hours following treatment
Instill 1 tsp (5 ml) per 10 US Gallons (38 L)
For areas with high chlorine levels, dosage can be safely increased or repeated up to 5x
One 8 oz. bottle treats up to 480 US Gallons (1816 L)
