Compact audio interface with advanced guitar tone shaping
Best-in-class guitar recording starts here
AXE I/O, IK’s award-winning audio interface, set a new standard for guitar-oriented recording interfaces. Now AXE I/O Solo brings the same great tone shaping, convenient features and premium sound to everyone, everywhere, in a compact and affordable 2-in / 3-out format.
Your guitar’s golden channel
AXE I/O Solo offers a triple-topology instrument input designed to preserve your guitar’s unique character, combined with powerful tone-shaping features to adapt to any guitar or bass, and helps you coax a wider range of sounds from any instrument.
Pick your pickup:
Passive
: designed to accommodate everything from low-output vintage pickups to hotter modern humbuckers with ultra-low noise and extended frequency response.
Active
: bypasses unnecessary gain stages when using active pick-ups, to keep your signal path as direct, transparent and clean as possible.
Choose your channel:
Pure
: a completely transparent and ultra-accurate preamp circuit that won’t color your sound in any way.
JFET
: a Class A JFET input buffer for subtle harmonic enhancement, midrange focus and warmth.
AXE I/O Solo also offers IK’s patent pending Z-TONE® circuit, letting you dial in impedance from 1 MOhm (“sharp”) down to 2.2 kOhms (“bold”) that interacts with your pick-ups.
At the maximum impedance, you’ll find your sound tighter, sharper and more precise. Increase the load and the sound becomes thicker and bolder.
You’ll quickly find yourself using these controls to give your guitars even more sonic character – with just a few minutes’ experimentation you can dial in a sound that fits the mix beautifully.
PURE mic preamp for transparent recording
AXE I/O Solo offers a high-definition, Class A mic preamp designed for transparent and clean recording. An extended, flat frequency response captures the full tonal range of your voice or instrument without coloring the sound, and best-in-class dynamic range ensures ultra-quiet recordings.
Re-amplification made easier than ever
AXE I/O Solo offers a dedicated Amp Out, a with ground-isolated design and zero-latency routing, letting you ditch expensive and confusing reamping setups.
It’s simple : connect the Amp Out to your amp, then mic it up using AXE I/O Solo’s microphone preamp. Now you can capture a clean copy of your signal while recording and feed it back to your amp afterwards to experiment with different amp, stompbox and microphone settings without re-recording countless takes.
A truly high-end audio interface for everybody
The original AXE I/O set a high bar for sound quality. AXE I/O Solo preserves the best-in-class dynamic range, ultra-low self noise and wide, extended frequency response essential to capturing the most accurate details of your performance, and for keeping your sound completely pure and transparent.
Advanced digital control & routing
AXE I/O Solo also includes a powerful, convenient Control Panel application to manage inputs & outputs and assign routing & controller inputs. In the INTERFACE tab, you can view the active inputs, enable phantom power and control the ground lift to dial in the least noise for your setup. Adjust output volume, direct monitoring routing, select the sample rate and more.
The CONTROLLER tab gives you control over the 2 controller inputs. Set behavior, MIDI channel, MIDI CC #, minimum and maximum values, and more, to dial in the best settings for any application you want to control. The AXE I/O Solo Control Panel lets you keep focused on your work, instead of adjusting settings on the unit itself, for a faster, freer workflow.
IK Multimedia iRig 2
The Most Popular Guitar Interface Of All Time Just Got Better
In 2010, for the first time ever, the original iRig allowed guitar and bass players to plug into their iPhone and use their mobile device to play, practice and record with apps like IK's AmpliTube, Apple’s GarageBand and thousands more.
iRig 2 builds upon the success of its predecessor by introducing essential new features — like adjustable input gain, cross-platform compatibility and a 1/4" amplifier output — that will once again revolutionize the way you make your music while on the go.
Now everyone can plug in their guitar, bass or other instrument and enjoy killer tone on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac — with the release of iRig 2, the world’s most popular guitar interface is now better than ever before.
Plug and Play Simplicity On Every Device
If you loved iRig's versatility, you'll love iRig 2's new adjustable gain dial, which works with its built-in 1/8" TRRS output connector to give you a true plug-and-play experience with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac.
Volume levels vary from instrument to instrument and from device to device. And while the original iRig provided superior sound, it was limited in that you were unable to customize the input gain level to your particular setup. With iRig 2, you get an input gain dial that gives you the power to ensure high-quality sound in every situation. This means that you'll be able to perform at your best no matter whether you're connecting a wailing 3 humbucker electric guitar or a jazzy archtop to your iPhone.
Likewise, its 1/4” instrument input works with your guitar, bass or any line-level instrument. Just plug into it like you would into a stompbox or amplifier. It’s as simple as that.
A Swiss Army Knife For Sound
iRig 2's new 1/4” output jack lets you use iRig 2 with an amplifier as a part of your live rig without the use of an adaptor.
This opens up a whole world of opportunities when paired with AmpliTube for iOS, IK's powerful guitar and bass multi-effects processor. It provides you with a vast library of meticulously modeled virtual stompbox effects, amplifiers and other gear that you can use as a part of your physical rig when you're jamming with friends, at a practice session, in the recording studio or performing live. Or, if you want to be discreet, plug your headphones into the included 1/8” headphone output.
Even better is that iRig 2 features a switch that lets you select between a processed signal and a clean "thru" input signal. This means you can also use your mobile device as a tuner, recorder or other tool while preserving the purity of a 100% analog signal path.
iRig 2 is there to help you make your practice and performance sessions as easy as possible. It comes with a microphone stand mount and Velcro strip that allow you to easy attach it for performance alongside other convenient tools like IK's iKlip range of mic supports for all sizes of smartphones and tablets.
A Digital Rig With Physical Presence
With iRig 2, you’ll be able to enjoy AmpliTube for iOS (the #1 app for guitar players). It's ready to go right out of the box. It comes with a powerful cross-platform suite of apps and software that includes free versions of AmpliTube for iOS and AmpliTube for Mac/PC.
To use, just download your preferred version for iOS from the App Store. Then plug your guitar or bass into iRig 2, plug your amplifier or headphones into your device and launch the app.
Immediately you'll see something very familiar : a complete guitar rig. AmpliTube for iOS recreate your entire guitar or bass signal chain in your mobile device and also — depending on your device — provide you with other advanced features, like multi-track recording and editing, high-quality export and more.
And while iRig 2 is the ideal companion to AmpliTube for iOS, it also works with any other recording, processing, tuning or music app.
