RARE Vintage Saboten Pruning Hedge Shears Tool
Made in Japan
Blade says:
Easier Cutting
Rust Resistent
Non-Gumming
Dupont Teflon-S
Adjustable Tension Dial - Soft/Hard
Has a part that sits on top of blade that sweeps cuttings away
as you trim
Gold part of shears is made of hard plastic - note there is a
little broken piece as shown in the last photo (not sure what's missing
or what it may have been used for); otherwise, condition
is Used with
some wear but apparently not used so much as stickers have not yet
worn off;
minor dings in blade
There is a little surface rust, such as on the screws, etc.
We tested it on one of our evergreens - it still seems pretty sharp and
cuts okay
Over-all length is approx. 19" from blade tip to handle tip
Blade length is approx. 7-1/8" from blade tip to center of bolt joining
the blades (see photo of underside of shears)
There is a little silver lock tab on the side but we're not really sure what
the function is as it doesn't really seem to do anything
