  • Condition: This is a unique item because its manufacturer is not yet identified. It appears as unidentified on the most compressive list of projector to date "List of Vintage Movie Cameras, Projectors" There is an image of the projector under the heading "Various". The projector falls in the category of "toy projectors", also called "cinematograph", by their manufacturers, very much in fashion at the beginning of the century, up to the apparition of "talkies" in 1929. It can also project glass slides 4 cm wide.I have cleaned it, without altering the appearance and I have stoped the rust. I have replaced the 100 W bulb with a LED bulb to avoid overheating in case the projector is going to be used. It comes in a transport / display case with a remote controlled light. I have used recycled wood for the construction. The case features a hide for the cable presenting the projector in a very attractive fashion. A 4cm wide glass slide from the 1900's is included with the projector (not shown).

    Description

Judging by the looks and transport mechanism the projector can be placed around the 20’s. It has the “Maltese Cross” on the hand cranking shaft as in for example a Leonard Muller toy projector, or the Keystone Moviegraph 575W from the same period, but it has a very interesting “one leaf shutter” which improves the projection tremendously by making the transition between the frames invisible to the eye. Alongside the same “novelty design” the lamphouse of the projector offers a better cooling system and no spil light like in the other similar designs present around that time.
